This was the only book that dad wrote. But boy, was he ever proud of it! And he should have been!! There are several cases that we know of where this book convinced a prospective drop out to continue on. Bravo to them. Look for us to post their stories here.

Dear Chris, though of you all the other day as I was going through of of my dad's photos and saw a photo of your dad in his uniform and your family. Your parents were very kind to me when I was stationed in Philly and tried to make sure I wasn't adrift in the big city.
My dad wrote about different interests- but was nevertheless very impressed with your father's book.
I think the last time I saw you was at a party you kindly invited me to in Philly where a friend from my ship and I were fairly badly behaved! When I was young and irresponsible- I was young and irresponsible....
Anyway, nice blog. May be I'll do the same for my dad.

sorry C, I got rid of all the pictures of me circa 1984-5 with a perm and bottle of JD in one hand and cig & glass of coke in the other!
